BP#6 The Meatrix

The Meatrix was an animated movie about how meat factories treat animals while they are being processed for food.  The Meatrix is named after The Matrix except the animals are the ones fighting against this bad treatment.  The movie showed how animals like cows, chickens and pigs are packed into very tight spces that they can not even turn around.  There is no sunlight or fresh air for them to feel like they are outside.  They are so close together that they catch diseases from eachother and are given hormones and antibiotics to keep them fat and healthy. 

These factories were put together to produce a lot of meat at one time and quiker but because of them the small family farms have gone out of business.  Now people are becoming aware of what is going on at these factories and that families and people who eat from these factories are not safe.  People are becoming infected with the disease from the animals and are eating the same hormones the they eat to. 


I have heard these things before about what the factories are doing to the animals especially the hormones they give them.  People should definitely take steps to try not to buy meat from these factories.  This effects our families very much and especially our children who are still growing and should not be eating meats with hormones.  What we can do is buy free range meats which are animals that are grown in open fields.  I will try now to not eat meat from these factories.
